Real-world Internships in Science & Engineering (RISE) Program

The 5th Annual RISE Program at Aberdeen Proving Ground is a one-of-a-kind paid internship experience for high school students interested in STEM.

In an effort to protect the health and safety of our students, workforce and community, the RISE program has been canceled for the 2021 season. Please check back in December 2021 for information on applications for summer 2022. If you have specific questions about the RISE program or our other events, contact the C5ISR Center Community Outreach Office via email at usarmy.apg.ccdc-c5isr.mbx.outreach@mail.mil

The RISE program is a two-week internship for High School students who are a minimum of 16 years of age.

Participants work with professional engineers and scientists to complete results-oriented work. In addition to technical skills, students develop professional skills through a series of leadership workshops.

Over the course of the two-week program, students spend between six and seven hours each day working in professional APG labs. Students are exposed to real-world technology and provide assistance to the engineers and scientists who work at APG to support the Soldier.
