Real-world Internships in Science & Engineering (RISE) Program

The 5th Annual RISE Program at Aberdeen Proving Ground is a one-of-a-kind paid internship experience for high school students interested in STEM.

Due to the uncertainty caused by COVID-19, and after careful consideration, we regret to inform you that our 2020 summer season, to include the Math and Science Summer Camp, GEMS III and RISE, have been canceled.

Our primary concern is always for the safety and health of our communities, our students and our workforce, and while we understand how disappointing this is, in the face of the current uncertainty, the best path forward is to move with an abundance of caution.

We thank you for your continued participation in the C5ISR Center Community Outreach Program, and wish you the best this summer.

The RISE Program is a two-week internship program for current High School students who will be 16 years of age on or before July 1, 2020.

Program participants work with professional engineers and scientists to complete results oriented work. In addition to technical skills, students develop professional skills through a series of leadership workshops.

Over the course of the two-week RISE Program, students spend between six and seven hours each day working in professional APG labs. Students are exposed to real-world technology and provide assistance to the engineers and scientists who work at APG to support the Soldier.

If you have questions about the RISE program, please reach out to Rachael Brown at 443-395-7376 or usarmy.apg.ccdc-c5isr.mbx.outreach@mail.mil

The Application period for 2020 RISE has closed. Thank you for your interest.
